Arabic Online Teacher Training Course

Community Service & Continuing Education Deanship (CSCED), at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), held an "Arabic Online Teacher Training Course" (60 hours) with Glasgow University, England.

This course is based on "Researching Multilingually at the Borders of Language, the Body, Law and the State" project. This project includes nine European universities in cooperation with IUG presented by Dr. Nazmi Al-Masri, vice presented of IUG external relations and a co-investigator in this project. This course was given by four educators from Glasgow university including Dr. Giovanna Fassetta, Dr. Katja Frimberger, Dr. Mariam Attiah, and the PhD researcher, Maria Grazia.


The idea of training Arabic teachers has started from 2013. The IUG in cooperation with "Arabic for All" institution, Saudi Arabia, gave a teacher training course. The same course was repeated for different participants in 2015 online. IUG has chosen participants from both courses to be given this new online course from Glasgow. Thus, the candidates were equipped with different skills, personally and professionally.


The number of candidates were eight, 3 males and 5 females. The course contained six important chapters as the following:
